T-Mobile HTC Desire Available for Orders in the UK; HTC Desire Begins Selling Today, Shipping in One Week

March 24, 2010, By Alex Ion

While we already knew that the HTC Desire will be available on T-Mobile in the UK starting from March 26, today we’re hearing the the British carrier is actually stocking the Android smartphone ahead of schedule and that you can start ordering your HTC Desire starting today, via their website. Of course that doesn’t mean you’re getting it next day, as Magenta states that shipping will take about a week.

The reason for yesterday’s confusion was that many users couldn’t order the HTC Desire since T-Mobile’s website said it’s out of stock. Well folks, it looks like things cleared today as the company shred some light, saying that a slight technical glitch was the culprit for the bugged ordering process.

“We can confirm that the HTC Desire is now available to order from our website, with a delivery time of around 7 days, and will be available in stores from Monday 29 March. A technical glitch which had shown the device as out of stock has now been amended, and we apologies for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused,” they said in a quick interview with TechRadar.

And for those wondering if the HTC Desire will be available to new or existing customers, word is that both will get a chance to get their hands on one.
