Acer TimelineX notebook range now official; 1830T, 3820T, 4820T and 5820T form line up

It has been a while since the rumors of the new Acer TimelineX notebooks have been doing the rounds. Specs had already been revealed, but we weren’t sure if the notebooks really had them. All speculations have now been put to rest with the company going in for an official announcement.  And, yes, the specs we heard of earlier enough, are right there for you to play with.

The new Acer TimelineX notebook range includes models to be known by the names of 1830T, 3820T, 4820T, and 5820T.

Sheer good looks make the notebooks capable of staying in public attention for a very long time. We aren’t kidding when we say the new notebooks sport charming looks. You might rate them from the images alongside.

While Acer has rolled out the 1830T and 3820T models as 13.3-inch devices, the 4820T comes across as a 14-inch unit while the 5820T is a 15.6-inch notebook. On the processor font, Acer has incorporated either Centrino or Core 2 solo CPUs, while all the other models in the range will come powered by Core i3, i5, or i7 chips. The graphics department is taken care of by ATI mobile GPUs.

Features include WiFi, optional 3G, and Bluetooth on the connectivity front. The big plus comes in the form of an extended battery life. According to the notebook maker, battery life will stay up to 12 hours for the 3820T, 4820T, and 5820T machines. Meanwhile, the 1830T will run uninterrupted for at least 8 hours. The reason for longevity on the power side comes thanks to the LED backlit screens coupled with Intel Display Power Savings, which together ensure at least 30 per cent less consumption.
