HTC Supersonic WiMax phone likely to be unveiled on Wednesday at CTIA 2010 event

Talk of the first ever WiMax phone, the HTC Supersonic has been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The debut of the smart phone is finally expected to happen at the CTIA 2010 event when it gets underway this week. When we say this week, it could even mean that the arrival could happen on Wednesday itself as HTC’s CEO Dan Hesse is holding a keynote on that day at the event.

The HTC Supersonic arrival date has never been so close to being official. The speculation springs from a screen shot of a chat window (pictured), which shows the conversation between a Sprint premier customer and a customer-support agent from Sprint.

Though not something that has too much of clarity, the conversation hints at a release date on Wednesday, that is tomorrow.

Dubbed as a groundbreaking new device, the HTC Supersonic holds much promise. The interest it is expected to generate as Wednesday gets closer to dawn is immense. The phone, from what we know, will come with a 4.3-inch capacitive AMOLED touchscreen and would run Android 2.1 OS. Other features would include the  HTC Sense UI with FriendStream and Helicopter View, 4G compatibility, WiFi, and a 5-megapixel camera. And we are sure that’s not all. We are gearing up for Dan Hesse’s keynote.
