Dell Aero Availability Confirmed on AT&T; Newly Designed Mini 3i Android Smartphone

March 23, 2010, By Alex Ion

After releasing the Dell Mini 3i Android smartphone in China last year, the company is now gearing up to bring a modified version to the US shores. Dubbed Dell Aero, the handset will be available on AT&T with similar specs and features as the Mini 3i.

Mini 3i is running Android 1.6. It’s a decent handset with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 3 megapixel camera, 8x digital zoom and 30fps video recording. But the AT&T Dell Aero seems to be getting a newly designed user interface, and unlike the Chinese model that only has 2G connectivity, it’s supposedly bringing 3G to the table. On top of that we’re hearing that the AT&T debut will also garnish it with Android 2.1 to run the show.

Right now there are no official details concerning availability or a set release date, but AT&T have confirmed that the Dell Aero is actually real, so we shouldn’t be that far away.

So how about you guys, would you get the Dell Aero instead of the Nexus One?
