First Official T-Mobile HTC HD2 Gets Sold Through Walmart; Video Unboxing Reveals WinMo 6.5 Smartphone

March 22, 2010, By Atul Roach

The March 24 release date of the T-Mobile HTC HD2 was no big secret and matters became more public when the advertisement document was leaked. While the fanatics await March 24, Walmart has already gone ahead and sold the first HTC HD2 with T-Mobile as its carrier, and there are no big surprises packed in as the smartphone runs Windows Mobile 6.5.

Undoubtedly, the HTC HD2 is a mighty smartphone but the ‘catch’ is that the smartphone will never be upgradable to Windows Phone 7 as it is not complaint with the relevant hardware specifications. We could have ignored the shortcoming had Windows Phone 7 Series not been arriving in a couple of months time. Nonetheless, for fanatics, a great device will always remain big and therefore they should thoroughly enjoy the unboxing videos after the cut.

What could help people ignore the Windows Mobile 6.5 presence is the pre-loaded 16GB card with a copy of Transformers and Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, and six months of free Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi. I’ll let the videos do the talking now.
