Asus Eee PC 1001 PX: Latest Asus Netbook With Intel N450 On-board

The world is going crazy about tablets and you have to blame Apple for it but even then, you cannot stop the Asus netbooks from pouring in although Asus is also readying an Eee Pad. The latest entrant is the ASUS Eee PC 1001PX which shares a lot of styling traits with the existing range of Asus netbooks but, it gets an improved spec sheet.

Sitting atop that spec sheet is the Intel’s N450 1.66GHz Pine Trail CPU so you can be rest assured of the processing speeds.

I personally love doodads finished in carbon fiber and therefore the Asus Eee PC 1001PX is a favorite here but there are other integrations which make it admirable too. The netbook is available both with Windows 7 and Windows XP. The Windows 7 version (model:1001PX-WHI006S) comes with a 250GB hard-drive and a 6-cell battery which should serve you good for 9 hours.

The Windows XP variant (1001PX-BLK003X) comes with a 160GB hard-drive and a 3-cell battery that runs sturdily for 3 hours. The common features for both variants include VGA, 10/100 ethernet, WiFi b/g and three USB 2.0 ports along with a sad 0.3-megapixel webcam.

The Windows 7 variant is priced at $406 while the XP variant gets a price tag of $326. [via: Slashgear]
