Under the hood the new Mercedes GL 350CDI BlueEfficiency hides aV6 3.0L engine that sports a whopping 510 Nm of torque, mated to a 7 G-TRONIC gearbox and a 4Matic Permanent all-wheel drive system.

All these help the luxurious seven-seater go naught to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 210km/h. What’s interesting about the GL 350CDI is that it comes with the company’s BlueEfficiency technology that blends optimum consumption (average of 9.7 litres of fuel per 100 km) with low emissions, yet still deliver powerful results.

“In its segment, the GL-Class is the largest SUV and the only one that offers full-size third row seats with independent AC vents. It has exemplary head and leg room. The BlueEfficiency tag is a statement of its environmental compatibility,” said Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes Benz India. He also mentioned that the “GL Class is clearly head-and-shoulder above competition and sets benchmarks in areas of luxury, safety and performance”.

And he’s right.

In India, the new Mercedes-Benz GL-Class will be available in two variants — the GL Executive which is priced at Rs. 63.57 lakhs and the GL Luxury, priced at 68.48 lakhs.
