HTC SuperSonic has been running its rounds through blogs and news websites for the last few months and from what we know now, Sprint may be launching the device as soon as next week! WSJ is reporting that the SuperSonic, which is expected to run on Android 2.1 and pack a 4.3-inch AMOLED display, should debut at the CTIA 2010 Wireless Trade show. When it debuts, it will be the first WiMax compatible phone to release on a major carrier in the US.

When it comes to specs, its truely awesome. Its rumored to have a 4.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, 5 Megapixel camera with Dual LED Flash, Autofocus and Digital zoom, Kickstand, 1GHz SnapDragon processor and more.

Nothing official has been announced by either parties ( Sprint or HTC ) yet, but Sprint could make it the big thing on their keynote this coming Tuesday at the CTIA. According to earlier comments from Sprint’s business market president, Paget Alves, the new 4G phone will be targeted initially at government and industrial clients. Sprint will also be introducing a short-term incentive plan for their employees to encourage signing up of customers to the WiMax service.
