According to the rumor mills, the Nokia C6, seen here in this leaked shot, will possibly become the newest addition to Nokia’s entry-level C series range of smartphones. It is a successor to the candybar Nokia C5 which was officially announced earlier this month. The C6 is expected to by a 5800 with a slideout QWERTY keyboard attached, but the keys look way better than those on the N97 and N97 mini. The new touchscreen slider is expected to launch in Europe before summer 2010.
The C6 comes as part of the Finnish giant’s new naming convention. The C series will be the entry-level range, the X series will be focused on “social entertainment” such as in the Nokia X6, the E-series will be business centric while the N series will form their flagship device range.
The new slideout phone is rumored to come with 256MB of internal storage along with support for external storage in the form of a microSD card slot. From the leaked shot itself, we can infer 3G support and touchscreen. What is missing is the tilting display found in the N97 and N97 Mini that may put off some possible buyers.
