Plastic Logic QUE proReader Delayed, Release Put Off Until Summer

March 12, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

Those of you who were waiting to get their hands on the Plastic Logic QUE in April will have to wait a bit more – the “$650 Nook alternative” has been put off in its release all the way until summer. If you’re that impatient though, at least there are some alternatives available to you.

According to a statement made by Richard Archuleta, CEO of Plastic Logic, in an e-mail to pre-ordered customers, the delay is due to some fine changes and adjustments in the features, which are aimed at “enhancing the overall product experience.” The e-mail also states that there’ll be more information about the delay in the coming month.

On the bright side, those who’re affected by the delay will get their shipping charges covered by the company when the QUE proReader does come out. Also, payment will be processed only when the device has been released and shipped out to the appropriate customer, and not a single day beforehand – a great sign of respect for their customers.
