The netbook market is set to roll out the red carpet for the new Asus EEE PC 1005PR. Asus is brining in the new device to all netbook enthusiasts with the promise of a new feature called Super Hybrid Technology, which offers an astoundingly good battery life of 11 hours under normal usage.

We hear the new Asus EEE PC would come with capabilities to handle 720p High Definition. This feature owes its existence to the 10.1 inch 1366 x 768 resolution display, and a Broadcom BCM 70015 HD Decoder. We are looking forward to seeing that, as we are a bit concerned about how good HD would appear on a small netbook screen.

To be powered by an Intel Atom N450, the Asus EEE PC 1005PR would have 1GB of memory, and a 250GB hard drive. Asus has also thrown in 500GB of online storage space for those who would like it. Other specifications include a webcam, wi-fi, bluetooth and Windows 7 Starter.

Asus is said to be attaching a price tag of around $400 for the EEE PC 1005PR when it arrives in the US marketplace. The device would simultaneously travel to British shores too, though we are yet to be told on what the price would be. The promise of an extended battery life spurs us to go for it.

What say?
