In the gadget world, the most hyped doodads loose their popularity in a matter of hours, and soon the top-notch Android devices like the Nexus One and the Droid might be facing the same phenomenon, courtesy-Sprint HTC Supersonic.

If the Sprint device arrives with Android 3.0, the most upgraded Android OS version, the Nexus One and Droid will appear sad as they currently run on Android 2.1. HTC Supersonic with Android 3.0 is a discreet possibility with constant rumors forcing us to believe it, though the Supersonic arrival may get a different response if 2.1 is what it will eventually feature.

Reports suggest that the Supersonic is already in the Sprint workshop and Sprint is testing the smartphone while most of the bugs have been effectively removed, compared to the status of the handset last month.

The list of speculations for the HTC Supersonic involves more than just the Android OS mystery. Few even believe that it will be T-Mobile and not Sprint which will release the handset. The rumored spec sheet for the Supersonic includes WiMAX, 4G Connectivity, 32GB of extendable storage and a 5-megapixel camera. [Via: Product-Reviews]
