Vodafone UK to Debut Google Nexus One

March 1, 2010, By Alex Ion

Vodafone UK has confirmed that the new Google Nexus One is going to be available to their customers starting sometime in April. After being available in the US for quite some time now, the Vodafone Nexus One will be available exclusively from Google’s website ( google.com/phone ) and although there’s no info regarding pricing, it’s likely to cost very similar to comparable smartphones, such as the iPhone.

Vodafone is Google’s first partner in Europe. The company has first announced that the Nexus One will be available in Spring, which is why we thought a March release date is doable, but now we can tell for sure that the smartphone won’t be available with the UK carrier any sooner than April.

For those out of the know, Google’s Nexus One runs Android 2.1, has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and features a 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen display (480 x 800 pixels). On top of that it comes with a 5 megapixel camera with built-in LED flashlight (HTC likes to call it that way) that takes still photos and records MPEG-4 video, has built-in GPS, an accelerometer, a compass, WiFi and stereo Bluetooth.
