Nexus One Google Earth App Now Available for Download in The Android Marketplace

Those who bought a Nexus One smartphone are inf or a treat as we just caught wind that the Google Earth application is now available for download from the Android Marketplace.

From what we’re learning only Android 2.1 devices are capable to get the application, which means that you won’t be able to get Places, Businesses, Panoramio, Wikipedia, Roads, Borders and Labels, and Terrain, on your Motorola Droid.

Apple’s iPhone was the only handset to get Google Earth app, but if MountainView is to be believed the 1GHz processor and the 3D capabilities in the Nexus One, along with its 800 x 480-pixel display, make the new application the “fastest mobile version of Google Earth yet.” On top of that, the Nexus One has features that the iPhone doesn’t, and among the most interesting there’s road overlay and voice recognition — just say London, and next thing you know, you’re in a pub having fish and chips.

The new Google Earth app can be downloaded from http://m.google.com/earth.

Did you got Google Earth on your Nexus One? How smooth is it?
