February 19, 2010, By Atul Roach

The list of the Canon Flagship Full-Frame DSLR 1Ds Mark IV admirers is endless and this purported sensor updation report is going to swell that list furthermore. As much as we await an official confirmation, we are excited to hear that the Canon 1Ds Mark IV will be updated with a 32 megapixel sensor replacing the 21 megapixel lens that the current Mark IV version sports while the other specs remain a mystery.

What is more exciting is the speculation that this update is scheduled for as early as next week but then Canon hasn’t endorsed this news thus far.

The rumor mongers are also mentioning that Canon will release an IS version of its popular EF 24mm – 70mm f/2.8 lens while two other lenses will also be announced in a weeks time- a niche market lens and an EF mounting variant.

We will be surfing the web ardently for a week hoping that these rumors turn out to be true and the moment we dig something, you folks will be the first ones to know. [via: Electronista]
