The Next Big Thing: Samsung Bada Open Platform Laden Wave is Eagerly Awaited

February 15, 2010, By Atul Roach

Its MWC 2010 time so talking anything other than cellphones is criminal and therefore next in line we have the Samsung Wave which endorses Bada, the open mobile platform. We here at DM believe that the Wave is the next big thing albeit with the MWC 2010 on, we could be proved wrong in a matter of seconds.

For the moment though, we believe that the Wave is an astonishing doodad which should arrive in a couple of months. The Samsung Wave is all about novelty right from Bluetooth 3.0 to the the Bada itself, which throws open a world of functions right from integrated contacts to the unified inbox.

Even the 3.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 800×480 resolution is special, offering multi-tasking on a touch. For Bada, the Wave also recognized as the S8500 is just a beginning and Samsung intends to quickly evolve the platform by introducing it with different functions on a number of future handsets.

There have been instances before where the Palm handsets surfaced and then came the Google Nexus One but, nothing has been able to match the might of the iPhone. Is the Bada laden Samsung Wave the answer! [via: mobile-review]
