The Mobile World Congress this year seems to have been taken over by South Korean major Samsung! Close on the heels of the launch of two cute high end mobile handsets such as the Samsung Monte and the Samsung Wave, here comes news of yet another model. Christened the Samsung Halo i8520, leaked info on this new upcoming handset has leaked on the Net. The Halo is expected to reach European and Asian markets by the third quarter of 2010. The US customers, meanwhile, are likely to get to taste the device by the year-end.

Going by what we get to see, the new Samsung Halo i8520 is being described as a handset that could emerge as the flagship of Samsung.  The pictures reveal an extremely good looking Halo that runs Android 2.1 and boast of an innovative Super AMOLED touchscreen. The device in fact comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA 800×480 Super AMOLED touchscreen and the Android 2.1 OS with Specialized Projector UI. An 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, front-facing camera for video conferencing, 2GB or 4Gb ROM / 3Gb RAM and 16GB MoviNAND internal memory complete the features line up.

The Samsung Halo i8520 would also house under the hood features such as 7.2Mbps HSDPA, FM Radio, 3.5mm headset jack, aGPS, WiFi b/g/n, pico projector, DLNA support, Bluetooth 2.1, microSD card of up to 32GB, 1800mAh battery, and Divx/Xvid/H.264/ H.263/MPEG4 720p video playback support.

The tentative dates already mentioned, all we now need to know is how much would Samsung demand as price.  We hope the company wont kept it under wraps for much time.
