Acer previews the Aspire One 532G 10.1-inch netbook at MWC 2010 with ION 2 graphics

Here is another first coming right from the MWC 2010 and for a change, it is not a cellphone but a netbook dubbed the Acer Aspire One 532G. Unlike any other netbook in the market, Acer 532G is the first netbook in the world to embrace Nvidia’s next generation ION GPU- ION 2 graphics. It seems that suddenly no one is talking about Pine Trail so for the records then, the Acer Aspire One 532G comes with an Intel N450 Pine Trail chip.

It is evident that Acer wants to lure in buyers who look for a compact carry away media house, but the number of people interested is scant although this machine may bring about a revolution.

Nonetheless, the 532G is a gadget that offers 10-hours of powerful graphics on a single charge and even 3D gaming has not been ignored but that is something the gamers will ignore on a smallish display. Other attractions are YouTube HD compatibility, 1080p playback with 7.1-channel audio and an enhanced CUDA support while 3G integration will be optional.

The Acer Aspire One 532G netbook is just being previewed at MWC 2010 and a thorough release is expected at CeBit in March 2010. [via: Gizmodo]
