Final Fantasy Set to go the Avatar Way, FFXIII 3D Rumors Afloat

February 12, 2010, By Atul Roach

The US Final Fantasy admirers will be pleased to know that both Square Enix and Microsoft have confirmed an American release of the Xbox 360 FFXIII through a special edition bundle which will be available in Japan and US simultaenously but, that is not what has left us excited here on DM. The interesting part is that Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase told the official PlayStation community members that he was interested in a 3D version of the game.

Avatar has left global audience mesmerized with its 3D effects and if the phenomenon is anything to go by, a 3D FFXIII will be more than acknowledged by the gaming fraternity.

As of now, Yoshinori and his gang of brains at Square Enix do not know how to build a 3D version of FFXIII but they sure are interested to make things happen.

The unit has succeeded in creating a 3D trailer for the FFXIII game which is being relayed in Japanese cinemas alongside the movie Avatar. The FFXIII (normal version) is set for a March 9 release for both PlayStation III and Xbox 360 consoles. [via: Techradar]
