Motorola Devour Specifications Revealed

February 11, 2010, By Atul Roach

The last time around we spotted the Motorola Devour, it was inside a box and we were hopeful that the Android powered handset will make a debut sometime soon and for once, Motorola hasn’t disappointed us. The snapshot below clearly reveals that the Devour will launch in the indirect channel through authorized distributors on February 25,2010 while it will launch in all channels on March 15, later this year.

The Devour is an Android powered handset which is destined to make Android mainstream and with this device, Motorola wants to focus on the MOTOBLUR advantage, just like it did with the Cliq for T-Mobile.

VZW has removed the pricing details for the Devour after the details leaked but, it will still be targeting the anticipated $99 price-point. The Devour will come with a 3.1” Touchscreen and a Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard to begin with. Android 1.6 Donut OS will feature along-with the much talked about MOTOBLUR.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth, aGPS and WiFi (802.11 b/g). On the rear, the Devour will have a 3.0 Megapixel camera blessed with Video Capture w/1-touch playback and easy uploading to YouTube. For the music aficionados, there is a 3.5mm audio jack incorporated. If Big Red manages to offer it for $99, this could well be one of the highest grosser for VZW in the near future. [via: BGR]
