Apple Aperture 3 Announced with Faces, Places & Brushes

Rejoice photographers for Apple is ready with its latest version of the photo editing and management software, the Apple Aperture 3. Aperture 3 promises over 200 new features including an upgraded version of Faces and Places feature hailing from the iPhoto ’09. An addition is the Brushes tool which allows a user to paint adjustments onto photos and render professional image effects with a single click.

The upgraded Faces and Places makes it easier and faster to organize large photo libraries. With the Brushes,  Apple offers 15 variants for instance Dodge, Burn, Polarize and Blur, which auto detect edges in images; therefore the need of making masks is eliminated even while applying effects.

A novelty to Aperturte 3 is its highly appreciated slide-show that lets users include photos, audio, text and even HD videos. The photo editing and management software offers full support for 64-bit Snow Leopard and direct image uploading onto Flickr and Facebook.

Apple’s website has listed the product on a thirty-day free trail or else the Aperture 3 can be bought for $199. Those looking for a software upgrade from earlier versions will have to pay $99. [via: BGR]
