Patriot Viper II Sector 5 RAM Memory Unveiled

If you are not a computer performance enthusiast or an extreme PC gamer, you probably have a pair of very normal RAM sticks installed in your PC. But it is not the same for a gamer. RAM is every bit as much important as the other hardware on the system and hence when you pay more you get way better hardware that performs better and remains stable when overclocked. there are several companies out there catering to this. Patriot is one of those, who also claim to be the only one whose products are made in the US of A . Patriot has just unveiled the latest in their line of enthusiast RAM modules today.

The Viper II Sector 5 series DDR3 RAM is capable of operating at 2580 MHz. For a DDR3 module, it has very tight timings of 9-9-9-27 and has been hand tested to work with Intel’s P55 platform. The RAM modules are offered as a 4GB kit consisting of a pair of 2GB modules (part number PVV34G2250LLK ). Like any other enthusiast RAM, the Viper II Sector 5 packs custom heat spreaders, in this case, Patriot’s special edition aircraft grade aluminium heat spreaders to remove the excess heat produced when running overclocked. Patriot claims that the memory is well capable of running over the advertised frequency to get more overclocking performance. They also claim to have hit speeds of over 2400 MHz with these modules in their labs.
