Sony Ericsson Aspen with Windows Mobile 6.5.3 on-board

This beautiful handset you see atop is the Sony Ericsson Aspen aka Faith and what makes it worth a narrative here on DM is that the Aspen is the first handset to arrive with Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Yes, the Windows Mobile update is finally here and now an interactive-finger friendly response is no more a dream.

Agreed, the function should have arrived with Windows Mobile 6.5 but even now, a positive response to the fingers (shunning the stylus) is always a welcome. The update arrival has also opened doors to a capacitive touchscreen and it even acts as a platform-enabling multitouch.

With Windows 6.5.3, Microsoft promises improved browser performance with quicker page downloads. Even the memory management while enhancing zoom and rotational speeds or improving pan and flick gestures feels better.

Talking about the Sony Ericsson Aspen-for starters, it comes with 2.4-inch QVGA TFT touchscreen LCD display and 3.2MP camera on the rear. A slot for a microSD card, a 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi and A-GPS also make it as standard features to the QWERTY candybar. The Sony Ericsson Aspen should be available in the second quarter of this year.
