Apple Tablet Pricing Announced; iPad to Start Selling from $499, Unlimited Data on AT&T to Cost $30

After so much rumor and speculation, we finally know what the Apple tablet is all about, and when I say that, I mean we know the iPad specs and features, know what’s under the hood and, right now, heard what the device will sell for : the Wi-Fi version with 16, 32 and 64GB of flash storage will go for $499, $599 and $699 respectively, while the one with 3G connectivity should sell for nothing less than $629, $728 and $829 — a good $130 more expensive.
By that time you already know that it will run on the company’s custom 1GHz Apple A4 processor, has a 30-pin Dock connector, a microphone, a speaker, Bluetooth, and 802.11n WiFi, an accelerometer and a compass. On top of that there’s a pretty powerful battery slated to to work for a good 10hours between charges, it runs out of the box native iPhone apps (lovely, for app developers) and syncs everything with your Mac as it’s being managed by iTunes.
Another interesting aspect, the 3G iPad version will require a 250MB data plan from AT&T that costs $14.99, or an unlimited contract that should go for $29.99.
