January 20, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It is something that perfectly fits your pocket and goes on recording videos at will. Ion, the consumer audio electronics manufacturer, is lining up a new pocket video cam, which promises to charm.

Called the Twin Video, the new pocket video cam boasts of front and back cameras. How is this unique, you might ask! The front and back cameras will let you simultaneously record the subject you shoot and also your reaction to it. Tipped as the world’s first video recorder with front and back lenses, the Twin Video lets you have complete control over the front and rear cameras independently even while you are recording something. The device also allows you to pick which video feed is being recorded, show both video feeds on a split screen, or inlay one feed over another using picture-in-picture. Amazing, isn’t it?

So all you need to do is head for the store and pick one as soon as it arrives. Designed to record interviews or create dual-POV movies which you may want to upload on YouTube, Facebook, et al. Eve as you record, you also have the option to stay focused on creativity and even switch and mix video or dabble doing those picture-in-picture functions. Other features include dual onboard microphones that make stereo sound recording so effective. The Twin Video comes with SD and SDHC memory cards, internal rechargeable battery and USB connectivity. Expected to arrive by the second quarter of 2010, we hope the Ion Twin Video would fit the wallet too as it fits your pocket.
