Bill Gates Joins Twitter

It seems to be a popular choice for celebrities to open up their own Twitter accounts lately – and wouldn’t you know it, Bill Gates joined in on the fun too! His account, named @BillGates, has already added various other accounts to its following list.

The list seems to be rather exclusive, but features names such as Kara Swisher, Steven Levy of Wired, and even Ashley Tisdale and Ashton Kutcher – with the last one bringing a huge question mark to our faces.

Bill Gates seems to be covering mainly events related to Haiti right now, as he is involved in the various relief programs related to the incident. He also published a progress update on his foundation letter, specifying that it will be released on 1/25.

The account is rapidly growing in followers, as you’d probably expect – the numbers are literally growing by the minute. If you’re interested in seeing what Bill Gates is up to, you can now follow him on Twitter!
