Averatec Lookie loads performance in a tiny good package; to be available in Korea mart

January 16, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The Averatec Lookie may look so tiny, but in effect it really packs a punch. We wonder how the company has made this possible in such small space under the hood. In short, the Lookie has the looks and boasts of laudable performance to match.

Now, wait before you start celebrating. The Lookie would be available only in the Korean market for now. This means, all you enthusiasts in the US and the UK will have to wait till the maker decides to look at the western markets too.

Powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the Lookie, from TG Sambo, stuffs a 250GB HDD and runs Windows 7 to maximum effect. The tiny notebook houses a HDMI port, a LED backlit LCD screen, an integrated webcam, an ergonomic keyboard and a battery that promises to run six hours in a single charge.

All of 0.5 centimeters, the Averatec Lookie  reminds one of the Adamo XPS . The device also is lighter in weight with the specs reading 1.4kg. More details are yet to come. On the pricing front, its maker will be attaching a tag of 799,000KRW, which could be around $711. We just hope the Lookie makes its way to the US and Europe too.
