Sony Ericcson Faith is coming, running WinMo 6.5

Windows Mobile 6.5 was supposed to be the savior of the WinMo platform flushing away all the problems that plagued WinMo 6. Devices running the new OS, branded as ‘Windows phones’ came in with much hype in October 2009, although Android and iPhone and other such platforms still stole a lot of the limelight. Sony Ericcson was one of the first to come out with a WinMo 6.5 device, in the form of the Sony Ericcson Xperia X2.Now here is Sony Ericcson’s latest ‘Windows phone’ offering, the Sony Ericcson Faith.

It belongs to SE’s Green Heart family of ‘green’ devices and is a quad-band GSM/EDGE smartphone that also supports dual-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity. The SE Faith packs a 2.4-inch QVGA display and comes with a full QWERTY hardware keyboard. The camera is of 3.2 megapixels and there is a microSD card slot for external storage. Connectivity is available in the form of EDGE/GPRS, UMTS/HSDPA 3G connectivity and Wi-Fi. The device also has A-GPS support and supports multi-tasking and panels for 24 hours life. The smartphone will come in both silver or black colors.

The Sony Ericcson Faith is has not been officially announced yet and information is still not available as to the date of release or price.
