On home turf Korea, LG Electronics is testing its new home entertainment multimedia hub. The electronics maker has unveiled its new innovation aimed at home entertainment freaks and it indeed promises to create a ripple even in markets overseas in the short term.

The new home entertainment multimedia hub from the LG production house has been named the Art Cinema XF2. Powered by a 500GB hard drive, the LG Art Cinema XF2 has the potential to take on even the strongest among rivals by boasting of exemplary features. Significantly enough, the details on the specifications reveal the exclusivity the LG device boasts of. Besides, the LG Art Cinema XF2 can also play back 1080p videos in MKV, H264, XviD and DivX. An HDMI output is also incorporated.  A preview report says that the XF2 has the ability to play back most popular photo and music formats. This can be made possible by way of an USB 2.0 port that lets users connect the device to their PC so that files can be easily transferred.

Though the debut has happened only in Korea, we expect LG to take the device to North American and European markets too without delay. However, there has been no word from the company on that. Korea stores will see the device by April. The price factor too has been kept under wraps. We will wait for more dope on that.
