Droid Eris smartphone update now available for download

This is for all you Droid Eris smartphone users out there. Your smartphone can now be spruced up with a new update. The new update is aimed at fixing some irritating bugs that has been troubling users of the phone. Now that Verizon Wireless and HTC have swung into action to fix the bug, it is time for Droid Eris smartphone to feel relieved.

HTC and Verizon are, in fact, working to fix small even issues with the handset. The new update is a fix that updates the Eris to software ROM 1.17.605.1. This, in fact, fixes the trouble which blocks the display and makes the phone in an out of service state. Users have complained that they had been facing problems in activating the device as the phone appears in an out of service state.

The update is now on the Verizon Wireless site for you to download. It is being said that this fix may not be intended at fixing just one particular bug.
