Modern Warfare 2 DLC Packs to Come Out This Spring
In a keynote at the CES 2010, Microsoft revealed that Modern Warfare 2 will receive more than one DLC pack this spring. This has been confirmed in the statement “This spring, the first content packs for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from Activision will be available, again, exclusively first on Xbox 360,” made by Robbie Bach.
It was already well-known that the Xbox 360 will be getting a DLC in the spring, but this is the first time someone’s officially mentioned more than one release.
Not a lot is known about the DLC’s actual contents so far – Infinity Ward have confirmed at least two map packs coming to the game on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, and they’ve also stated that the community’s opinion will play a major deciding role in how to update the game further down the line.
MW2 became an absolute hit upon its release, and while some developers would’ve just collected the profits and let the game rot into oblivion, Infinity Ward are obviously dedicated to keeping it alive and supporting it with new content.

I wish they would get around to fixing all of the horrible glitches and exploits this game is filled with, as well as improving the matchmaking so half a party isn’t dropped regularly, before putting the time and effort into new DLC’s.

Utter bullshit, if PC had its dedicated servers and the mod tools like 4 we would have close to 100s of maps by now but nope, the cheaters and hackers are taking over. Nice.

This needs to be updated.
The first release is confirmed to have the following in it:
-10 new maps, 5 of which recycled from previous games.
-Two new game modes: Global Thermonuclear War and Arena, which are already on the disk.
*****IW has not confirmed this, but it’s possible that VIP, the final built-in hidden game mode, MIGHT be in the first DLC.
-A bunch of patches and balacing. It’s confirmed that the Rangers and Models will receive a damage decrease, though it’s NOT confirmed whether this will happen in the first or second DLC.
For those that don’t know:
-Global Thermonuclear War is a game mode in which teams try to maintain control of a nuke. It’s similar to Domination, only it takes FOREVER to capture the nuke. It’s actually pretty fun, I’ve played it a lot.
-Arena is Capture The Flag on steroids. Whenever both teams have 1 player down, a flag spawns, which both teams attempt to capture. Respawning is off, which makes this mode chaotic. I’ve played this several times. Needless to say, it pretty much comes down to whoever lives.
-VIP has yet to be hacked by a majority of people. One team guards a VIP while the other team tries to kill him. The VIP has roughly 5x the health of the regular teammates. It’s unconfirmed about respawning or not.
they need 2 add more weapons and have less loading time on finding games and people getting fropped from party games and all the glitches it get really annoying
