ASUS Eee PC 1008p Comes With an Unusual Look

Netbook designers seem to be pumping out product after product without much visual distinction between them – even though every new one adds to the hardware specifications, they’re usually all the same when it comes to looks. Luckily, those of you looking for something a bit more extravagant, can get the ASUS Eee PC 1008p, styled in a very unusual way – and boasting great specifications to go with it.

You can get the 1008p in two color choices, screaming pink and coffee brown, both with an interesting finish which gives them a leather-like appearance. The netbooks offer 10-inch screens, and run on an Intel Atom N450 with 1 GB of DDR2 memory, and a 250 GB hard drive.

The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium, as opposed to the Windows 7 Starter Edition commonly found on netbooks of this class. They come equipped with webcams as well. Price is still unknown, though we’d expect it to not be far from that of the 1008HA, which is in the same range of models.
