Among the many players who are effectively using the CES platform for innovative launches this year is Asus. And, look what the company has showcased for the world. Perhaps the most luxurious media center laptop, the new Asus NX90 Bang & Olufsen edition laptop promises an utmost lyrical performance. Read on to know for yourself.

The Asus NX90 Bang & Olufsen oozes charm with its 18.4-inch widescreen display and the shining aluminium finish exterior. Built in collaboration with Danish acoustic major Bang & Olufsen, the man behind the sweet looks is award-winning B&O chief David Lewis. What makes it more luring, apart from the polished aluminium shell, is the presence of two touchpads on either side of the keyboard and speakers that surround the screen. Powered by an Intel quad-core processor, the Asus NX90 Bang & Olufsen edition laptop sports the two touchpads with great respect toward user friendliness. Asus has placed two of the touchpads in such a way that each has its own pair of physical mouse buttons. While one touchpad serves the purpose of navigation, the other can just be tapped to click.  Equipped with multitouch capabilities, Asus deploys the Rotation Desktop software to help in using the touchpads in one go.

It is not just beauty that would drive the NX90. Going from what we learn, the Intel Core i7-820QM Quad core processor, 12 Gbytes of DDR3 RAM, the Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphics card et al promise great performance. Asus has inserted features such as a slot-load Blu-ray drive and support for dual hard drives (up to 1280 GB). USB 3.0 support, E-SATA, and HDMI-out are additions.

Likely to arrive this February, the Asus NX90 Bang & Olufsen edition laptop could sport price tags in the $1,799 to $2,499 range.  Sounds nice, right?
