Toshiba and Gateway’s Upcoming Core i3 Laptops Leaked

January 4, 2010, By Radimir Bobev

Toshiba and Gateway are about to reveal their newest laptops at CES, which will use the Intel Core i3 and Intel Atom Pine processors. Even though the companies were expecting to make the big announcement at the CES, information made its way onto the Internet before that, as it usually happens lately.

It seems that the laptops will be targeted at the budget-conscious crowd, with their prices floating around $700. Their specifications match the expected price accordingly though.

The Intel Core i3 will be featured in the Dell Inspiron 15, which will also feature a 15-inch TFT display, 4GB RAM, and a 320GB hard drive – all powered by Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Toshiba’s Satellite L500-00F will also use the Core i3, and will offer 4GB RAM, and a 16-inch display running at 1366×768.

The other Core i3-based machine is the Gateway NV5905H, which comes with a 500 GB hard drive, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 15.6-inch display running at 1600×900 – also using Windows 7 Home Premium as its operating system.
