Samsung N220 Pine Trail Netbook ‘almost’ debuts in France

All the major netbook developers across the world are keen to lay their hands on the Intel Pine Trail platform which gives Samsung absolutely has no reason to fall back. Consequently, Samsung has developed the N220 netbook which is based on the latest platform that uses 20% lesser power on netbook based processors. The netbook surfaced on a French retailer’s website momentarily but, the listing was quickly pulled out, leaving the web hounds gasping.

As far as the specifications go, N220 comes with a 10.1-inch LCD screen with 1024 by 600 resolution. On the inside of the machine is an Intel Atom N450 processor and GMA 3150 graphics. Integrations such as WiFi, Bluetooth and a webcam come as standard for the Pine Trail based gadget. The hard drive has 250GB of storage space and the machine is well assisted by 1GB of RAM.

The netbook will be shipped with a six-cell 5900mAh battery which is good enough to run the machine for 11.5 hours. The site listed the price of the netbook as €349 which is around USD 500. What is still a mystery though is the pricing and the launch date for the North American region. [ via: Electronista]
