Google Phone Coming in “Early January” According to T-Mobile Internal Announcement

December 29, 2009, By Radimir Bobev

While T-Mobile attempted some secrecy when making an internal announcement just now, it was still pretty obvious what they’re talking about from one glance. The announcement states that “Google… is scheduled to launch a new Android device in early January”.
So far, we’ve been getting some rumors about the device being released on January 5, and this seems to coincide with that information perfectly. It should also be noted that the phone’s official marketing name will likely be “Google Phone”.

Another curious fact is that T-Mobile will not be responsible for the device’s support – it will be handled by Google and HTC directly, so T-Mobile will only provide the wireless service and nothing else.

With only about a week left to go until the big date, everyone’s lining up their savings and getting ready to try out the phone that’s been making the news lately. If you’re one of those – keep an eye out here, as we’ll provide you with more information as soon as it becomes available.
