ARMA keeps getting improved with every update, and today’s one is no exception – the update brought lots of changes, including a bonus campaign. The patch, which brings your game up to version 1.05, is 270 MB and can be downloaded from various sources, including FileShack.
One of the things introduced with this patch is a mini-campaign, called “Eagle Wing”, which takes place a few years after the storyline of the original title. The player is put in the role of an AH-64 Apache helicopter pilot, which is another one of the additions in this patch.
One interesting thing to note about the patch is that it can be applied on Steam copies of the game – something which lacked as a function in previous patches for ARMA 2. Some other changes you might be interested in include tweaks to the game’s performance, improvements in the AI, lots of bug fixes, and added ability to host dedicated servers on Linux. There’s also a new multiplayer mode, and DRM has been completely removed – thankfully.
