Archos 9 PC Tablet to start shipping this month

It’s now time for some bit of Archos talk. We all know the company had been readying the Archos 9 PC Tablet for a long period of time now and we find that more details are floating around the web in the form of a video. The touchscreen slate is a 1.1GHz Atom Z515 powered device with specifications set to lure.

From what we have managed to know, the Archos 9 PC Tablet has started attracting preorders and the device would start shipping some time this month. The video which is doing the rounds says that the Archos 9 comes with a 60GB hard-drive and 1GB of RAM.

The Archos 9 PC Tablet would run Windows 7 Starter and would have WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options. However, 3G is one missing factor.

Other features include webcam, optical mouse and 9-inch resistive touchscreen running at 1024 x 600. If you are now looking at what the battery would offer, the answer is that the device would stay live for around three hours with the WiFi turned on.

A lightweight device, the Archos 9 PC Tablet would soon start coming to your hands. Let’s now wait to know more on the other specs and of course the pricing part.
