Portable media players from OPPO had been a rage earlier. The company is now foraying into the Android scene with a new Android-based smartphone, which it is likely to introduce in 2010.

If you would remember, OPPO had announced its first smartphone two month ago in an attempt to catch up the market. The details of the new OPPO smartphone are not many. But then, from whatever has been let out, we understand that it would be a handset that could come featuring a 3.5inch capacitive touchscreen display. It is believed that the touchscreen display has been built to support multitouch gestures. It will boast of a resolution of 800×480. Though not much more is available right now, we hear the phone might have the regulars such as full QWERTY keyboard, integrated WiFi, and the like.

We will have to wait for more to know what else OPPO will incorporate inside the new Android device. Going by the way news is just leaking out, it might be expected that the Android phone from OPPO is ready and might debut by the first quarter of 2010. Let’s wait.
