JVC’s XS-SR3 iPod Dock Can Rotate Your iPod

The JVC XS-SR3 is a stylish-looking iPod dock that offers you the functionality to rotate the iPod by 90 degrees, allowing you to use it as a small screen. The dock also features Dolby Virtual Surround, and it can be used as a speaker system for anything with a 3.5mm jack – so it’s a great addition to any home entertainment system that needs a bit of portability.

There is something unusual about the whole concept behind it though – using your iPod to watch movies can be great as it’s a very portable device and can be used mostly anywhere. However, a dock’s entire purpose is to place your iPod in a stationary position temporarily – which kind of defeats the whole idea.

Still, if you think you’ll find the XS-SR3 useful and want to get your hands on it, it will start selling later this month for the price of $150 – although, do consider the cost of a conventional screen and speaker setup against this price.
