Samsung have developed a fantastic digital camera which is about to hit the market soon – the ST5500. The camera is equipped with a 14.2 megapixel sensor, Wi-Fi connectivity, and it has 100 MB of built-in memory. There’s also a slot for microSD cards, so you can expand its capacity easily.

The device also supports video recording, capturing your videos at 30 fps and a 1280×720 resolution. There’s also a 7x optical zoom functionality for those close-up shots – and an extra large 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen to view your pictures and videos on. The lack of buttons makes for a very clean and straightforward design, and the camera’s menus are very easy to navigate.

The Wi-Fi support allows you to send pictures over e-mail, as well as upload your videos directly to YouTube, Vimeo, and other similar websites – so expect a tight social integration from the camera overall. Samsung haven’t said anything about the price yet, though the expected release is round Q1 2010, so we should see it in stores pretty soon.
