Tesco to Offer the iPhone December 14th

Tesco Mobile, despite not being a major operator right now, are planning big for their future, and their intentions are to make their presence well-known on the UK mobile phone market. Tesco seem to be quite serious about this, with their recent announcement that the iPhone and iPhone 3GS are coming to their stores.

Starting December 14th, Tesco Mobile customers will be able to buy the devices, and it looks like they’ll get to choose from some quite attractive data plans as well – for example, how does 12 months free Internet & Wi-Fi browsing sound to you? Pay as you go customers and those who’ve signed at least one-year contracts will be able to enjoy this promotion.

Expect to pay at least £20 monthly for the cheapest plan – which includes £60’s worth of calls and text messages, and you’ll have to pay £320 initially for the iPhone itself. For £60 a month you can get the device for free, and get unlimited calls and texting as well – quite an offer, so Tesco are definitely going to stir up the market soon.
