Logitech Squeezebox Touch delayed yet again, might come only by February 2010

December 10, 2009, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The Squeezebox Touch will have to wait. Logitech has decided on these lines and has reportedly put off the launch of the hyped device till February 2010. Logitech had been building the media streaming hub for quite some time now, and there was  earlier talk of a launch date sometime scheduled for September and then for December.  The latest buzz is that it will come only in February.

Nobody knows why the company is delaying the launch even after sending feelers of its arrival from time to time. The Squeezebox Touch had been talked about much for being a device that could offer path breaking features in the media streaming scene. Said to be built with a touchscreen interface and optimized for photo viewing, the Squeezebox is being introduced by Logitech as a device that can access music from a local network and also stream Internet radio. Going into the details, the Squeezebox Touch is its first such device which deploys a 4.3-inch display.

Much has been written about the device, but it seems like Logitech is bent on making us wait. September is gone, December  is running t o a close, now we have February to look forward to. Hope Logitech doesn’t delay it further.
