What do you call a laptop that is oh-so-thin and fits the size range between a netbook and a notebook?  Well, Dell calls it the Vostro V13. Dell’s new creation is just 13.3 inches and is easy to carry, in case you are a businessman on the go.

The V13 is Dell’s latest addition to its Vostro range of machines. Built to be a tough performer, the V13 is offered by Dell for a starting price of around $449.

Just 16.5mm in thickness, the Vostro V13 weighs 1.59 kg. Can you imagine that? Tough performance is explained by the ultra-low-voltage (ULV) Intel processors that ensure energy efficiency. The ULV processor makes enough supply of power even when you are traveling long distances and work out of your V13.

Believed to be one among the various Vostro devices Dell has already showcased, the Vostro V13 comes with all features which help a traveler-entrepreneur perform all his tasks while moving around the globe. Additional features include an integrated web cam, a microphone for Net calls, video conferences and to remotely exchange files. Connectivity options range from 802.11g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth to WWAN mobile broadband. To run Windows 7, the V13 has the capability to take up tasks with support for up to 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory. Dell has also incorporated provision for full-data-encrypted hard drives too.

Beautifully packaged in top-end aluminum with reinforced zinc, the device is so thin and ultra lightweight that could make you go for it.
