Sholes-Tablet

Mobile Android China have managed to obtain actual live photos of the Motorola Sholes Tablet (working name). Along with the pictures, they’ve also released some specifications, which are quite astounding – the device will use a 550MHz OMAP TI 3430 processor (the same that is used in the DROID), it will also have a 3.7″ touch screen which runs under a 800 x 480 resolution, HDMI port, a 3.5mm headset jack, UMTS/HSPA support, and a 8 MP camera with a xenon flash.

The operating system used will be Android 2.0 – though that’s just for the current version of the device. Until it comes out, it’s very likely that an update for the Android will have been released, so the Sholes will likely use Android 2.1 when it comes out on the market.

Visually, it does look a bit unfinished and lacks the polish seen in finalized devices – but considering that those are production photos, it’s understandable. Still, we hope they do something about the color on the back of the tablet, as it doesn’t exactly look pleasing to the eye. Expect more information on the Sholes soon.
