The official Facebook page for Duke Nukem was just updated with a single screenshot for something titled “D-Day”. Nothing else was stated – like whether this is a new title or something to do with the abandoned Duke Nukem Forever, except for a single line by the character stating that he “doesn’t stay down for long”.

This has generated quite a hype in no time, considering Duke Nukem Forever was one of the most anticipated games in the history of video gaming. For those of you who don’t remember, DNF was recently announced as cancelled, when its developer 3D Realms shut down. Nothing else has been said about the game since then, so this sudden appearance of new media has sparked huge interest in the community.

People are already speculating about what D-Day could be, but some have noticed a resemblance between the monster depicted in the screenshot, and a boss from a previous Duke Nukem game – so, right now, all we can do is wait and hope that the series hasn’t truly died yet and there’s more to see from Duke.
