Black Friday deals get crazy; pick a MacBook Pro for a discount of $300

It can’t get crazier than this. The ongoing Black Friday sale is seeing a mega price war that could drive you nuts. If you are someone who has been dreaming of owning Apple Macs, this is your chance. What we get to hear is that an Apple reseller, an authorized one at that, has wielded the axe on the Mac Pro prices, bring it down by – believe it or not – $300. The iMac, in the meanwhile, has seen prices tumble by around $180.

Crazy, indeed, isn’t it? MacConnection is the reseller we are talking about, in case you want to head straight to their stores for your Mac now. Interestingly, the $300 slicing in prices has led other online retailers to follow suit in their bid stay in the Black Friday race.

MacConnection went for the kill soon after news came in that MacMall and Amazon.com have brought down prices in a big way. MacConnection subtracted $50 off Apple’s most sought after Mac MacBook Pros and iMacs. This means that the its latest Black Friday deals offer $150 discount on the 2.26GHz 13-inch MacBook Pro, $200 discount on the 2.53GHz 13-inch MacBook Pro and 2.53GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro, $250 off on the 2.66GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro, and $300 discount on both the 2.80GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro and 2.80GHz 17-inch MacBook Pro. Now that’s what you call a price war in the strictest sense of the term. These deals, significantly, come with mail-in-rebates.

This is not all. MacConnection has also cut $150 off both the 3.06GHz Dual 21-inch iMac and 3.06GHz Dual 21-inch ATI iMac. A $170 discount is being offered on the 3.06GHz Dual 27-inch iMac, and $180 discount on the 2.66GHz Quad 27-inch iMac.

In its race to pocket the maximum customers, MacConnection has also started selling Apple’s new white 2.26GHz 13-inch MacBook for just $849.99, which is clearly down $149 compared to the normal price.
