MSI recently added the GT740 and GT640 to its line of gaming laptops. Both laptops are sure to satisfy the needs of any power-thirsty gamer of today, and you’re sure to not need any upgrades for a good while with either machine.

Both laptops are pretty much identical in their configurations – they use a Core i7 processor,  Nvidia GTS 250M 3D graphics cards, 4GB of DDR3 memory, 640GB hard disks, Blu-Ray drives and more. The difference between the two models is in the screen size – the GT740 has a 17″ screen, while the GT640 uses a smaller, 15.4″ one. Also, the GT740 has a more advanced 5.1 surround sound system, whereas the GT640 uses two standard speakers.

The GT740 will cost around 1400 pounds and will be launched in November. The GT640 will cost 1349 pounds and will be made available around a month later, sometime in December – so those willing to buy the more compact model will have to wait about one month. Still, whichever of the two you pick, you’re sure to have a blast with your games.
