Telus Debuts the new BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 Smartphone for Canadian Users

Users in Canada will now be able to lay their hands on the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550. The smartphone is now available on TELUS, and it has a heavyweight price tag attached. It will cost you $599.99 without a contract, but if you decide to go along with a three-year contract, the price will drop down to $199.99.

That price is valid only till the end of this year, and only if you choose to activate a voice and data rate plan of $50 or above.

The phone is also available on one, and two-year contracts, with the prices at $549.99, and $499.99 respectively. Available services include access to BlackBerry app world, TELUS navigator, web browsing, email, texting and the like.

For those who need a little refresher to the memory about the phone, the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 comes with a 3.25-inch clickable touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, HSDPA capability, micro SD slot, 256 mb of flash memory, and 2 GB of onboard media memory. The phone runs BlackBerry OS 5.0.
