Apple Tablet Gets Confirmation in Australia
A couple of days back, it appeared that the Apple Tablet arrival is just around the corner and the Tablet even has a name - Slate. Sadly, Apple’s senior vice president, Phil Shiller has confirmed that the Tablet is not arriving this year.
Putting the Apple arrival rumors to rest for a while, the fact is that the Tablet has been confirmed in Australia as the Australian media companies spoke to Apple about the Tablet.
The media organizations Down Under did manage to extract some important details regarding the Tablet and its arrival (probably) but non of the involved parties revealed anything.
It is told that Apple sent specifications of the device to Australian media companies so that they could take decision on delivering their content to the tablet.
Apple wants to launch a direct application which will allow the Australian media companies to distribute their content in the digital form for which they could charge money.
Apple is being modest by offering the developers 70% of the money it makes from the apps and the Australian media houses will be offered a similar deal. [via: TFTS]
